You’re in a highly walkable area near some of the city’s best restaurants, shopping, parks, and museums, with easy access to the streetcar. But what surprises most people is this: They end up loving staying in. Because this space doesn’t feel like a temporary stop — it feels like somewhere you actually want to be. You’ll walk into a home that feels clean, cohesive, and thoughtfully put together. It’s comfortable without being basic, and everything is designed to feel simple, intentional, and easy to live in. Guests often say it feels like a small upgrade to their everyday life — a space that helps them unwind, reset, and feel a little more put-together after long days. You’ll also feel comfortable coming home at night, with secure building access (two entry points) for added peace of mind. You'll find a fully equipped kitchen to meet your cooking & entertaining needs. Starter supplies of coffee, sugar & creamer are provided. Access your own TV apps through the Roku Smart TV. A few things to note: Street parking only (typical for this area), though most guests find parking nearby without much difficulty. This space is intended for temporary visitors to Kansas City and not local residents. Laundry is located in the building basement and is coin-operated. You’ll also have access to the rooftop patio — a favorite spot for sunsets and city views.

About the Neighborhood

Whitehall is an historic building right across the street from Theis Park and the Nelson-Atkins Museum. You are just 1 city block from the Plaza Street Car stop as well as the Country Club Plaza. The Plaza is thriving with historic charm, restaurants, shopping, and even a Yoga studio :) You are located just south of Southmoreland neighborhood if you'd enjoy a stroll to see historic homes & landscapes.

Guest Access

You'll have the 1 Bedroom apartment all to yourself! You're also welcome to use the exercise equipment in the basement as well as access the rooftop patio from the 8th floor.

Guests without any reviews will be asked a few questions as well as asked for ID Verification through a 3rd party system. Local guests without great reviews are not allowed. This space is specifically for visitors to Kansas City. Please note that all information collected is used strictly for verification purposes and is not stored or used for any other reason. HOUSE RULES • Pets NOT allowed • No parties or events. • All visitors must be approved by the host and should depart by 10:00 PM. PARKING Parking is on the street - oftentimes there is more space on Oak St if you don't see any out front - check street signs. You are welcome to pull up & unload in the front of the building. LEFT ITEMS Items left behind can be shipped to you for a $25 handling fee plus the cost of the shipping.

I had a really nice stay here! The building has an older, charming feel, and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. The owner was extremely responsive and made communication easy throughout our stay. The hot shower was fantastic, and we really enjoyed having access to the rooftop deck. The basement also has workout equipment, which was a nice bonus. I had no trouble finding parking on Oak Street, and the location was very convenient— within walking distance of the streetcar, with a nice park right across the street. The WiFi was powerful enough to get my work done while I streamed a movie. A huge plus was that the hair dryer had the diffuser! You curly hair gals get it. That is so rare in AirBnBs. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient stay.

Jaymi was an AMAZING host! She was very responsive at all times. She had recommendations for the area. She is very kind as well! The list could continue! The space was very clean and smelled amazing. We truly felt right at home. One thing Jaymi did not mention, and turned out to be a beautiful surprise, was the amazing sunrises each morning! I knew the view was amazing, however, I had no idea how amazing that part would be! Waking up to that each morning during our stay made everything worth while! The bed was extremely comfortable. My boyfriend has back pain and usually ends up on the floor when we stay at Airbnb's, but at Jaymi's he slept like a baby and didn't leave the bed all night! I was truly impressed! The shower was also wonderful! I truly have no complaints! I only had an issue at door number two when you enter the building, but that was due to operator error! LOL Overall we had an amazing stay and Jaymi is just wonderful! I Highly recommend! We will be back for sure!

We really enjoyed staying at Whitehall. It is very near the Plaza and all the shops and restaurants. It is also very close to the trolly line which provided great access to downtown. No car was needed while staying here. When we come back to KC we will try and stay here again. Thank you Jaymi.

Place was in a safe location. Check-in was easy and directions were clear. It was very pretty and parking was easy. I would recommend booking, if wanting to check out the city.

What a wonderful surprise! This was a completely spontaneous trip to Kansas City, and when I booked, I simply went with the very first place Airbnb algorithm recommended to me, and I’m so glad I did. Jaymi was incredibly warm, thoughtful, and attentive throughout my stay. The place itself was elegant, spotless, and in a PRIME location. It’s just a short walk to the streetcar station, where you can simply hop on for free and explore the city. There are also so many museums and parks nearby, and even Jack Stack BBQ is within walking distance! Everything was convenient, comfortable, and even better than I expected. This was truly a five-star stay from beginning to end. I had such a great time in Kansas City and would absolutely stay here again next time!

Can't say enough about this space. The place is perfect, and the location is even better. Only 2 blocks from the light rail, so you can go just about anywhere from the Plaza to the River Market area. Too many restaurants/stores/cafes to mention. All within walking distance. Not to mention the incredible museum across the street. Would stay here again anytime. Jaymi is one of the kindest hosts we've encountered, and we travel a lot!

Find us

Whitehall is in a very walkable spot. The Plaza is a city block away (which will feel like 2 'regular' blocks) and has plenty of restaurants & shopping. We're also a city block from the Plaza Street Car stop . The street car is completely free and will take you from UMKC & Whole Foods to the South - all the way up Main St, past Westport, the Crossroads, Downtown and finally the River Market. Public transportation, Bike Rentals & 'Bird' Scooter rentals are also readily available.
